MailSync by EPATechWorks

Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 16, 2026

EPATechWorks develops and operates MailSync, a personal email-import utility. This policy explains how MailSync accesses, uses, stores, and shares information obtained through Google services.

Google user data accessed

MailSync uses Google OAuth 2.0 to obtain authorization from the account owner. MailSync accesses Gmail only to the extent required to import email messages into the authorized Gmail account.

How Google user data is used

Google user data is used solely to provide MailSync's email-import functionality. MailSync does not use Google user data for advertising, profiling, marketing, or purposes unrelated to the requested mail-transfer function.

Storage and security

OAuth credentials and refresh tokens used by MailSync are stored on the private system where MailSync is operated and are not intentionally exposed publicly. Reasonable technical safeguards are used to restrict access to those credentials.

Sharing and disclosure

EPATechWorks does not sell Google user data. MailSync does not share Google user data with third parties except when necessary to provide the requested functionality, comply with applicable law, or protect the security of the service and its operator.

Data retention

MailSync processes source email messages as necessary to transfer them into Gmail. MailSync is not intended to maintain a separate long-term archive of message content beyond what is necessary for operation. OAuth credentials may be retained until authorization is revoked or the application configuration is removed.

User control and revocation

The Google account owner can revoke MailSync's access at any time through their Google Account security and connected-app settings. Revoking authorization prevents MailSync from obtaining new Gmail access tokens.

Limited use of Google user data

MailSync's use of information received from Google APIs is limited to providing or improving the user-facing functionality described above. Google user data is not transferred for advertising, is not sold, and is not used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as MailSync or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version.
